Released in late 1994 to promote the Playing Dead album, Wishing was the obvious choice to be a single, being popular with many fans discovering Iain for the first time. The title song and the B-side, Something From Nothing, are taken straight from the album with no remixing. The bonus in this release comes in the form of two live tracks recorded at Greenbelt 94's Acoustic Café. The Breeze is simply breathtaking - a heartfelt song about the struggles of faith and doubt. The CD closes with a somewhat approximate rendition of John Martyn's best known song May You Never, featuring the vocal talents of Miriam Kaufmann (whom Iain married in May 2000).

Sadly, this CD has been unavailable for some time, so the two live tracks can be considered rarities and make it well worth seeking out a copy.
